Avicularia rufa (Yellow-banded Pink-toe)Avicularia rufa is a brilliantly colored arboreal tarantula native to the central and western regions of the Amazon Basin. Sometimes called the Amazon Red Rumped Pinktoe, this species is instantly recognizable by its emerald green carapace, metallic blue legs, and the rich reddish setae that cover its abdomen. Juveniles start out with bronze and copper hues that gradually transition into the deep, reflective reds and greens characteristic of adults.
